New skirt! I found this fabric kicking around in my closet, and I couldn't remember what I had bought it for, so I decided to make a new black skirt since I've been saying I was going to make one for quite a long time.

This was very simple to make. It's just two ruffles, a gathered waist, and a removable bow. This is my first time using an invisible zipper though, as you can see in the lower right-hand picture (along with the safety pin closure for the moment. I'm lazy with my closures ). I hand-sewed the zipper in because I'm not sure where the zipper foot is for my sewing machine, and I wanted to make sure it came out okay.

I took pictures out on the porch this time to try to compensate for my crappy camera, but the colors came out different in just about every photo! The photo on the top left is the closest to the true color of the skirt. It's just basic black. ^^
