Description I found this fabric in a discount bin at a craft store for $3 a yard. I was hoping for enough to make a fancier gown, but there were only four yards of this fabric in two pieces. Luckily when I got it home and started looking through The Tudor Tailor I realized that fitted English gowns only need four yards of fabric. I don't think gowns of this style were ever made out of material like this historically, but I think this looks nice and will be fun and reasonably comfortable to wear, so I'm happy with it. Now I just have to make a shirt to wear underneath, a kirtle, and sleeves to wear with this.

Looks like something from A game of thrones.

(I mean it as a compliment!)

Thank you! I do take that as a compliment because the costuming on Game of Thrones is impeccable.

You are right, the fabric pattern is a couple hundred years off, but that is beautifully made! Fantastic job.
