From my South African Trip in November 2014 I came across some hitherto unposted shots of the Drakensbergs near the Cleopatra Lodge in KwaZuluNatal. I have processed these using Lightroom and the Nik software Colour Efex Pro 4 with detail enhancer plus bleach bypass filters. This combination brings out the drama and power of these magnificent mountains. Hopefully, I shall be back there in a couple of weeks.Related content

Many thanks. This area, the Drakensbergs, is so massive that it is difficult to capture as simple photographs, but I think this technique of bleach blending works well to highlight the features.

Yeah - missed you as well, Sheri - I had great difficulty getting to DA from anywhere in SA, partly because of very slow speeds, and partly because some places seemed to have a block on "odd" words like "deviant". Huge back log to cope with as well as several thousand shots.

OH, I can imagine you are backed up on DA and I contributed to that back log as well. Β I do not envy you the purge. Β Under the same circumstances I would find myself not giving the time and attention to some that deserved it.
