New ArrivalsA few weeks ago in my Journal "Cat Mews" Cat Mews I mentioned that we had acquired two Maine Coon kittens, Sam and Tabitha, to share our home at Elderslie. They were too young at the time to leave their breeder's house, but some 10 days ago we brought them home with us and I thought you might like to see them. Remember that these kittens are only some 14 weeks old, but they are not far off the size of a small fully grown cat already. They weigh about 2.5 kilos and are over 24 inches long nose to tail tip. They are expected to grow to between 8 and 9 kilos and will be 3 foot plus in length.
Here they are looking prim and proper as if butter would not melt in their mouths. They enjoy play fighting a great deal, but remain very bonded to one another usually sleeping curled up together.
