EDIT: The previous image was converted into a preview banner as of 10/28/11.One day, I just felt like drawing a portrait of Master Splinter fighting for his life against some of the things that would probably unnerve his otherwise stoic demeanor. That "Splinter's Worst Nightmare" piece came together nicely and left me hungry to expand on the concept. When the talented PowderAKACaseyJones graciously volunteered to bring it to life with digital color, I was already off and running on story/panel layouts for a comic. I had never had the discipline or skill to attempt a full length fan comic before, but after much effort I succeeded in completing my first 12-13 page story just in time for Halloween! I also learned how to color it digitally via Gimp. This comic doesn't feature much text, but it advances the story through careful layouts and artistic poses that suggest energy and motion.

I drew this back in March, while this image came out in July. Weird... maybe I used the pose from something else I'd seen in the past but just couldn't remember the origin.
