Description Master Splinter is, to quote my other favorite cartoon rodent, "up, over, and gone!" But waitaminute, who could that shadowy figure in the corner of the last panel be? Things could get interesting now...

This page is definitely a reference to the "Splinter's Nightmare" piece that inspired this comic's creation. The bricks in the bottom left panel are the result of a title pattern that I went back and colored over to give it more of a toon appropriate look. I don't think it meshes perfectly with the rest of the comic's style, but it does kinda look neat.

Wow, coming from someone who's done officially licensed comics, I take that as high praise. I'm well aware of my own artistic shortcomings, but I did put a lot of work in the art layouts of this story. I tried to make it a spooky thriller with a happy ending!

Well - I liked it. In reference to your other comment - it is all a question of degree, I did not value my achievements in my early comics career, I always judged my work as below standard compared to artists like Alan Davis,Dave Gibbons etc . Nowadays there are lots of younger artists who just amaze me - I guess you just have to learn to appreciate your own work whilst admiring and learning from the work of others or indeed just forge your own path!?

Thanks for the advice! I do try to take pride in my work and progress, but (like you) I am continuously amazed at the skill that so many artists (even self-professed "amateurs") display on the web. The accessibility of digital art enhancing programs has certainly proved to be a game-changer that has allowed relatively unknown talents to really turn their art into something other generations could never have imagined!

Anyway, I really DO appreciate you stopping by to check out my TMNT fan comic. I hope to do a few more issues in the future (maybe I'll even add word balloons!). Was this your favorite page?

I admire your enthusiasm and dedication...I need to learn what you can do already, scanning and posting my artwork on DA was a big step forward for me as I have found it a real struggle to get to grips with using a computer.

i was a little confused on the part where he jumps on the table, but obviously i figured out what happened, so it worked

Yeah, I was really scratching my head trying to figure out how to make the idea of the "jump" work. The arrow is a little too literal, but it's the best I could think of!
