Description
This page was fun to draw and color. Given the fact that this comic's release coincided with the Halloween season, I just had to work in a reference to one of my all-time favorite monsters, Lon Chaney Jr.'s "The Wolf Man!" And I totally took artistic liberty to turn that 3-headed dragon poster on the lair's wall into King Ghidorah.I really appreciate everyone who's been reading my comic these past few weeks. Before some of you seek to tar and feather me for making this into a "dream sequence" resolution, I ask you to withhold judgement since the story still has two more pages to go!

Oh my, hearing tv, radio sounds or others talking can really affect your sleep, no wonder with this horror movie in the background he dreams something terrible like that... Awesome drawings, love the black and white as well, adds a great contrast! Mikey's face is so squee-worthy. <3

I was really hesitant to resolve this story with the tired old "it's just a dream!" twist. I thought that trying to work in some logical causes to Splinter's "nightmare" might make the reveal a little more tolerable to the readers. Plus, I really liked the classic Wolfman movies and thought it was a neat parallel with what was going on with April O'Neil in this story.
But I drew up that "Alternate Ending" page to suggest that maybe the true resolution can't be quite so easily dismissed as "just a bad dream." I guess we'll just have to wait and see what develops from that if I end up doing anymore TMNT comics.
And Re: Mikey's face; I'm not really familiar with "Squee." Is it a fangirl thing?

I think it's awesome you chose to make the dream comic after all, not doing it because it's something that happens quite a few times in fiction would be a pity somehow. It's always great to follow a creative idea, seeing where it leads. For me it was interesting to see what Splinter dreams of, such details are enjoyable to learn about. For him less though. xD
Yes, it can be used by fangirls as well as for something super cute, like an animal or baby, for example. The OT Turtles look really adorable and sound lovely, too. I often just have to smile when I look at them so your Mikey caused me to squee out of cuteness.
Is certainly great to know you'll be doing more TMNT art. I'm going to enjoy it for sure!

I've been slowly collecting the Universal Studios Monsters Legacy Collection DVDs. Hopefully I'll get inspired to do more classic monster art!

Oh, yeah! The vintage Playmates toy box art featured some of my all-time favorite representations of the turtles! I'm not sure I got every skin tone perfect, but I do think it helps add to the visual appeal of the turtles.
