Yeah, I have once again been getting artist block and can't come up with things to draw. Actually, I can, I just lack the motivation to actually draw them right now. Here's a photo I took instead.

This is a wild individual mantis I saw in the rural area of Hong Kong, China. I can tell it is a member of the genus Hierodula, commonly called the giant Asian mantises, but exactly which species I am unsure. It could be either H. membranacea or H. patellifera given the location I saw it but I don't know enough about mantids to know which one. The insect is about 6 centimeters long. Anyone that happens to know what species this is is free to tell me. Also the genus Hierodula has kinda been used as a wastebasket taxon for most large mantids in Asia and in fact a few species were moved to Titanodula in 2020 so maybe this isn't even the right classification for the mantid pictured here.
