Description Well... trying my skills with a quill... aka, never touched one until today. It was an assignment in school in how to use drawing ink. And well, I fell in love with it.

So here's what I did, it has NOT been cleaned in anyway or altered from the original.

I sketched a bit first and then did the line work (which is yet to be finished mind you) using a quill. The bold black were filled in with a normal watercolour brush.

Sorry it's nothing amazing...

Thats amazing! The lines are very well done and I like the dramatic effect of the black against the rest of the picture, it gives it depth.

Nothing amazing? I think not. I love the serenity of this picture and how it is balanced with chaos. The line art is very clean; your control of the quill is simply prodigious! The anatomy is precise and exact, and I love the way that the man almost blends into nature; it's really profound.

Wow, for your first time this is really controlled... I had a hard time inking with quills.... The outcome of this is amazing , and I love the detail.
