Have you caught people ripping off your art, or are you just worried about the art copying issue that's raging all over this site?

Both actually. I've had several people copying AND posting my art without my knowing... I found one of my arts in a person's faves once and it was uploaded under a different name... they had stolen a bunch of other people's art too so I reported them and they were banned... but still.
I wouldn't be all on fire about this if I hadn't had the experience and the frustration it brings.
Artists have it hard enough as it is to protect their art... and DA isn't helping.

Ah, I see. So far I haven't really caught anyone ripping me off, but a friend warned me once that it's bound to happen sooner or later. =_= I'm pretty paranoid about it. I can understand why you're upset. It's like mind-rape or something. D:
I'm also upset by DA's policy that "tracing is a valid art style!!1" and are using artists like Andy Warhol as examples of people who reuse images in their art. That is misleading, if not downright dishonest. US copyright laws allow for the use of images as "fair use" for parody purposes, out of other things. The main cause of this furor, Vampirella87, is not attempting anything like social commentary or parody. She's an admitted attention whore, and doesn't even give credit for the art she rips off. That is nowhere near the same thing, yet certain DA admins are trying to pass it off as such.

I love his warm skin tones. The hair is done nicely as well, I'm specifically attracted to the highlights. My only complaint would have to be that his coat and vest seem to be in a front view rather than the 3/4 view the rest of him is in.
