Characters and art are (C)WingedHippocampusNot what I should be doing, but I wanted to get something out.
Arin Bower the Bat and Ezekiel Holcomb the Porcupine are both always cast together in law enforcement roles, be it Royal Guardsmen or simply police or security. Putting them together lets me play their distinctly different types together, which is always fun. One is all about speed, agility, and precision strikes while the other is all about strength and endurance.
Never really main characters, but they make great secondary or tertiary characters and are highly adaptable, as so long as their personalities remain intact. Originally these two were both Pokemon, (guess which ones
) then adapted to Sonic, then anywhere I need an anthro in a pinch (including both being turned into hares for a Redwall RP once).

Bah! I thought I commented on this! I love these two X3. not only are their designs wonderfully fun to look at their personalities are fun to witness too!. though if I had to choose a favorite it would be hard, I like zeke because of his grumpyness and I like Arin because of his upbeat nature.
also love the scars you did on zeke and the rips and tears on arins wings look great too!. Also, I really like Zeke's colour scheme :3.

Woa, liked much their designs and expressions! They are fitting well in police stories, remind me the police TV series, with though guys who goes around on the streets on their hot old cars enforcing the law, like in "Miami Vice" XD

Well Zubat seems a touch too obvious for Arin, but Ezekiel I'm less sure of...Sandslash, perhaps?
In any case, these are two FANTASTIC characters, brought to life not only by your clear and compelling grasp of their respective personalities (and histories! I'll get into that more in a second, though), but by your magnificent character designs as well.
They're not only richly detailed (I especially love the little tearing in Arin's wings and Zeke's ear) and wonderfully colored, but each one does a REALLY good job of speaking directly to who these characters are and where they come from. That both are Law Enforcement officials of some sort feels clear from their style of dress (it just "feels" like the kind of civvies Police Officers would wear), and the sharp contrast in their color schemes and body-types (wonderfully handled, by the way; you do an excellent job of stretching the limits of the Sonic "model" here) really highlights their particular personalities very nicely.

Arin originally had earcuffs and piercings but it occurred to me that might be a bad idea in his line of work. So maybe he can wear them in formal attire or something.

Yeah, I like that idea; they sound like they'd fit the design well, so this way you can have them without compromising the character's believability.

Thank you, I didn't want him to be indistinguishable from a hedgehog, so I made sure to reference real porcupines and then just adapt the idea.

As always, your style is always an eye catcher. The poses say a lot about their characters. The barbed tail is very interesting on Ezekiel. Versatile characters are so much fun and they deserve love. Pokemon . . . yeah I can see it. xD
