Description
Version 2.0 of Iji vs AshaI've depicted a scene of Iji (Heroine, and an Enhanced Human) and Asha (Elite *Komato Assassin who lost his arm due to his pride in a teleportation gone wrong). In the game, Iji, Asha appears before Iji and challenges her nano-field capabilities multiple times, and when defeated bears an ever malicious grudge against her. By their final confrontation in the game, the two absolutely despise each other and I attempted to capture that hatred.
I played the path of violence, and this is the outcome I encountered. I also debated on artistic approach, so I have an alternate version ([link] ).

This makes the battle between Asha and Iji more epic than it really was, though I attribute that to in-game restrictions. This is how the battle would've looked, had it been a movie, or soemthing (I'd love to see Iji and Iosa depicted like this).

I like this one better than the alt. I got this battle my first run through too. I tried to be a pacifist, and almost held out, but then the Komato just really erked me off so I killed the all.

Fantastic. It's like watching watching Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children after playing the game. The fun to play, but dull to watch combat fantastically interpreted into a better visual format.

Although there's no question that this picture is absolutely gobsmacking, I did think the redesign of Asha was a little too much. I always saw the Tasen/Komato as robots or wearing cybernetic armour, then I saw this amazing picture with Asha looking organic, and it surprised me. However, this... is... awesome!

just wow. AMAZING piece of art, really captures the emotion of the moment. Asha starts to get crazy annoying, and both Iji and the player are ready to just finish him off for good.

Boy, this is intense. Especially with Iji's red eyes and the mostly orange coloring in the background, in stark contrast to the cooler colors of the characters. Good job

Pacifist gets you hurt a lot, but it's worth it to see that the alien invaders start looking at you kind of positively.

I just played Iji. I tried to be peaceful but in the end I ended up killing over 200 foes and hitting Genocide rating. Game is one of the few that made me this sad in the violence route ;_;.
Faving because this was one of my favorite moments. I am unsure if the moment where Iji shotguns Iosa in the face would be a more intense moment but you captured this quite well.

Asha has been known to dodge virtually any weapon except for a shotgun. So in this particular moment he'd dodge her plasma cannon. Just saying

... indeed, though that occurs in the early moments of the fight when the player is feeling out Asha's unbridled skills (if you didn't speculate from the transmissions you'd find along the way). That's why she's off her feet in the fight of her life.... until she meets the next boss.
Also, if he doesn't dodge in this situation, his sword would strike as she blasts his head off, leading to a draw, where there is no winner. Asha dodging, however, leads to another chance for a killing blow where he "might" live should Iji fail to do the same.

Yeah, I took an artistic liberty to design him with more vestige than this game sprite. What you see is actually the remains of a sleeve after his accident (maybe it was his previously favored gun/sword arm). This character is quite prideful. Having a constant reminder of his vanity would keep him at his best, earning him his rank among assassins. A reminder so as not to repeat such a mistake again.... until he met Iji, of course.

Krotera is the name of the highest-ranking surviving Tasen at the start of the game, he's a Tasen Elite. Asha is a Komato Assassin.

I've always loved action scenes from video games. Action girls from video games in action scenes are just as awesome.

This is THE BEST Iji fanart I've seen so far. Except, you might've gone a bit too far with redesign, but other than that, it's really impressive.

Have you played the Pacifist path yet? Also, Asha is pretty much an idiot. He avoids everything except the weakest type of bullets and he lost an arm by misteleporting into a wall; no wonder even his allies despise him, the arrogant jerk.

I certainly wanted Iji, the character and her narrative, to be appreciated, especially since I was intrigued by the adversity of her conflicts. It's one of the few indie games (with a narrative) I've played that made me feel for the main character as I did.
