Ok, brace yourself this is going to be long...OH MY GOD THIS WAS HARD TO MAKE, THE CREAM PAPER TORE DURING THE FOLDING PROCESS LET ALONE PUTTING IT TOGETHER. AARRGGHHPieces - 1594
Here I was thinking (before I saw the movie) Totoro was a squashed flat kind of shape and not tall and huge. So I kept adding, oh that doesn't look quite right....add more....add more...its getting there...add more...geez how many pieces....ok it looks good now...1600 PIECES!??!?! WHAT!?
The arms curve and the tops of the pieces create a good join, though the photo doesn't show that (this was the only photo that actually took the pic without making its tummy yellow)
OK enough sorry for ranting but I am so happy this is finally over...and I'm glad how it turned out

Hey how do you make the little pieces to put it all together? I have been trying to work it out and I am not sure how you do it.

lol i wanted to make a totoro too but i cant figure out a way to join arms to the body without glue, if you don't mind me asking, how did you do it?

Oh I used glue for the arms, legs and the ears. Bit impossible without it

You fold 1500 pieces of small rectangle paper and put them together to make different shapes
