Description

Hello, humans! I use machine translation. If you see a typo, please correct me.

If you feel that you are starting to go crazy with the constant acrid green light of the Plains, then you should go east to Golem Forest. As you can guess, the name comes from many machines standing next to each other, remotely resembling a human silhouette. Church engineers claim that these are actually trucks that, when active, must soar upside down. It turns out that the "golems" are now stuck with their heads into the ground.

Due to the non-standard structure of these machines, alien mold only damaged them from the inside, leaving the appearance about the same as it was millions of years ago. All the priceless insides of these robots turned into porridge and spread throughout the forest. So if you decide to cross this area on foot, then put on highest boots that you have, this black shit is very bad to wash off clothes.

Security robots and animals are wary of this place, therefore, land transport and trains connecting underground cities can safely move here. Due to the almost complete absence of active nanites, risk of infection with metaplasia in the forest is almost zero. In general, this is the cleanest place on the Gray Plains, not counting the city.

Hello:

I like how you described the place, specially since it is the second cleanest of those pesky nanites .

The details look very nice, specially the pillar-like structures that entices you to make questions and explore.

OneOut In reply to Chiletrek [2020-02-09 05:03:25 +0000 UTC]

For some reason, the locals do not want to explore anything at all. Probably because here you can die a little.

It makes me think that living there can make locals to feel like red-shirt ensigns from the original Star Trek series

Hmm... Another alien plant infestation >_<

It's very impressive that machine from million of years ago is still able to mostly retain their form

Bratan, study lore, ezzo plants do not grow here.

From these machines there was only a shell, thanks to ecosystem reconstruction device, they retained their appearance.

Just think of it as Cindy getting new shirt... haha...

I'm curious if I get the translation right. It says 'truck' which is for me a wheeled vehicle. But these seem like shuttlecraft, meaning robotic aircraft of some type. Is this correct?

Second I wonder why the robots, nanites and animals are absent. If the technology inside the golems has been destroyed, what is keeping them away?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OneOut In reply to Magnus-Strindboem [2020-02-09 04:35:18 +0000 UTC]

English is shit, these golems are a bit of a construction crane. I could easily show how they work, but for this I need to draw a separate concept.

You do not pose the question correctly. Animals and security robots are not afraid of nanites because they themselves are broken / infected. Although animals and machines have their completely different reasons not to visit this place.

Some small animals can easily stick to the black mass and get sadness.

In my language, it sounds like a "cargo moving machine" even now the translator cannot translate it. There is no indication of wheels or tracks or any other way of moving in this word Х_Х

Magnus-Strindboem In reply to OneOut [2020-02-10 20:35:11 +0000 UTC]

It just the stupid translator. The word is the usual term for a wheeled cargo vehicle.

Call it a gruzovik, in which case the word will not lose its meaning even if this car loses its wheels and starts swim or fly.

They should not have faces, this is construction equipment.
