I get a bit of a sense of nausea from this species.
Reminds me of this one time when you said someone would be more safe if they used a tank to travel in the woods or something.
But I can't say much, myself! While this sort of creature always gives me a big sense of "Nope! No no no Abort abort abort! Kill it with fire!", the darker holes of forests and ecosystems will sometimes have stuff like this lurking in the dark.
I was worried for a moment about what happened to whatever characters infected by this thing. At first I wondered if they would grow like trees from within the infected until they kill it and emerge like this monster seen here (Alien style).
It looks like a true aberration of nature. The way that the lifeforms caught by it just seem to be hanging with their lifeless bodies almost makes it seem like they're actual corpse shaped fruits the tree has beared.

In fact, these are worms that grow from corpses. They randomly crawl through the jungle of the eco-dome 6, when they meet each other they grow into such a nasty thing. This tree attacks any moving objects, so the easiest way is simply not to approach it.
It's like a huge fly swatter but for humans.
It would be very easy to drag a rocket launcher here or to arrive on a tank, but it is deadly to make noise in this jungle. To survive here you need to be quiet.

Rather ugly than eerie. It turned out a little not what I expected.

I think that everyone is tired of my complaints, that I do not like my drawings.
I'll just say thank you.

On this planet there is a much more vile place, I want to show it next year. But I'm not sure that I have the skills to draw that place.
Here it is.

Intestine tree... That is surely one of the most creepy looking tree I've seen >_<
At least it seems like human does know how to contain this parasite = v =a

Hello, humans!
Here's another remarkable example of a life form from the eco-dome. This here is a colony of sprawling parasites that will attack any other life form not affected by the Red Vine... including aliens.
The larvae of these parasites are found everywhere in the eco-dome forests. You can catch them by picking your nose or scratching your butt with a contaminated hand. When they enter your body, the larvae do not grow yet, and will wait until the carrier leaves the quarantine zone. Once outside, it begins.
Fortunately, this parasite feeds exclusively on dead flesh, therefore it is considered conditionally safe for a humans - but anyone wishing to leave the quarantine zone needs to undergo disinfection from parasitic infestation to prevent it from spreading to outside world.
If it does get outside, it will begin devouring the small corpses of animals such as pigeons and squirrels. It will certainly expand and infect everything it can.
It is unlikely that you will be safe if a "tree" suddenly starts to grow right next to your house...

The eeriness of this painting is amazing, especially how the lighting and the balance of color saturation amplifies the creepiness. Also, it's such an interesting creature concept. Great job! ^^

Kind of sad mother nature isn't as creative as this in real life.

You'll find horrifyingly unique creatures in the world's oceans and rainforests. Assassin bugs wear their victim's skin on their back, horsehair worms take over their hosts' neural system and control their body, and Black Swallower Fishes will make even a vore lover disgusted (look it up)...
And if you want something that is able to target humans, search up Dracunculiasis.
