That's a good question! I think it might be almost as light as air, so that it can easily float.

Interesting... if the air density is greater as well, that could be fairly plausible.

Maybe he's an alien too, only disguised as a human But I guess it's more likely that the floaty alien has some lighter than air gas inside him that allows him to float

It could also have a internal mechanism to heat the air, like a hot air balloom.
