Description told me to post more, and as it happened I had something I'd been forgetting to put up. So here ya go, Twiggy.

Check it - it's Anubis. o: Not from my comic for some reason, but maybe I'll get him to look like that someday in it. I drew this in Mexico. Ah... so many things were drawn there. There was SO LITTLE to do! It took me since I got back (a day before Christmas) to color it, because I'm a horrible procrastinator. I've changed coloring styles a little, tell me if you notice.

Your choices of jewelry in this are what intrigues me most, actually. Most death-gods are portrayed as being dark, sterile, and Spartan in their tastes. All of the bright gold, the 5 million earrings, and the chain bracelets (which are interestingly symbolic, of course) give this version of Anubis a sort of frivolity not normally associated with Death. Yet I think that if Death were an incarnation, it would have to have a sense of fun. At least, that's what that aspect of the picture means to me.

My eyes were also attracted to the scratchy marks on his arms. Are they meant to be scars, or what? And if so, is it in reference to something I don't know (which is entirely likely), or was it something that made sense for your picture?

The eyes and the smile are both perfect. The devil-may-care expression ties into what I was saying about Death having fun, especially with his work.

All in all, I like it a lot. I'd fave it again if I could.

Thank you. T_T Man, you and Becca. Your comments are awesome. The weird things on his arms are actually, like, wire or string or something wrapped around and worn as a braclet of a sort. It was easier to tell in the lineart, as I didn't bother doing anything special to it when I colored it. Thank you again.

I couldn't tell if you changed coloring styles if it hit me in the face. So I won't be telling you I noticed, because I didn't. ^_^
Very pretty! It's all, "I'm gonna kill you now!" woot!

Wow. Blue and brown. That's bold.
But I'm diggin' on the hair.
I just wish you'd done the scythe handle a little straighter.

"Catch me, pleeb... methinks I have the vapors!"

:moving on: Anywho! Wonderful job with the perspecitve. And particularly with making him so very egyptian. That dark-chocolate skin with the oiled, well-cared-for look to it. The feathered hair. The massive amounts of gold. Besides, who doesn't just ADORE An-pu? No matter how dumb his Egyptian name may sound to us...

Hee... for some reason, the title and the pose reminds me of a slashy bit of a short story I wrote for him and Hor-sa-aset. ~<3

... oh, yesh.
