THIS IS HILARIOUS! No, I'm not a big Sarah Brightman fan and yes, I like Sierra and I love Ramin, but it seems true! Maybe ALW figured the only way Christine could get out of this musical with a modicum of dignity was death

Just because you worship sarah brightman doesn't mean she won't get fat, old and get surpassed by a younger and VERY talented actress like Sierra I mean, I like Sarah, but I like Sierra much better plus Sarah is like 50 and sierra is not. And if andrew DID hate Sierra he wouldn't have chosen her to be Christine in LND, PLUS he was already planning to do LND since 1992. :/

Sorry, but I think Sierra Boggess > Sarah Brightman. At least she can sing AND act.
However, I think LND was a half assed attempt. There was so much more he could have done with it. The story was crap. The music is stunning, but it was more spectacle than spectacular.

If you see the POTO 25th Anniversary Sierra Boggess is just the perfect Christine, and Sarah, at her special performance at the end is... well is not the Sarah Brightman we met 25 years ago.

The role of Christine wasn’t created for Sierra; she didn't embody the character to the fullest extent. Gina Beck would have been a better choice for the character of Christine when it came to honouring the shows twenty-five year history. And you can't expect Sarah to sound the way she did twenty-five years ago, with age a singer's voice changes and you also have to take in account vocal trauma and surgeries.

I think ALW has some major psychological issues. I mean, he obviously sees Erik as himself and Sarah as Christine... and when she left him, he made it so that in his music, he snatched her character back and forced her to love his character. And then he killed her. Is anyone sensing what I'm sensing?
