Personality: Despite him being a smartass, Yuu is surprisingly very quiet and somewhat reserved around various people; including friends. He is the type of person to observe, taking in activites that occur around him, and he is also very calculating. He will refuse to do something unless he has fully thought out his options. Yuu also has a pretty large perverted streak. He will do lewd things to make people laugh, or act stupidly seductive to tease someone (such as licking a wooden spoon filled with icing just to get a rise out of someone). Even though he does goof around at work, his is still very serious about being a pastry chef. He is the type of guy who will always come in early, stay late, and come in even on his days off if asked to do a favor. He is an utter perfectionist when it comes to the pastries he makes, and if anyone rushes him or cause an upset in the balance that is his kitchen, he can be pretty harsh, overcritical, and a bit fussy. But if you know what you are doing, he can be pretty greatful.

Background: Yuu is a bred and born Japanese male, or so most people assume. He was raised by a house-wife mother while his father was a very busy business man who often stayed late at work. From a young age, Yuu was taught to have an excellent work ethnic by his old man. But despite the seemingly perfect, cookie-cutter life he had shared with his parents, there was always a tension occurring at home. It had always been speculated that Yuu was not fully Japanese. As a boy, Yuu very much took after his mother. He had been lanky and sharp featured, but as time grew on and he grew into adult hood, his form became more broad, add more muscle to his torso and arms than what was normal for an average Japanese male. And as his face lost baby fat, you could see a more western jaw-line, while his hair took on a slightly wavy appearance. It didn't help that he was also tall as hell. His mother would never admit to an affair, but both Yuu and his father knew. Despite this, his father still treated Yuu very much like his own, and Yuu would always seek advice from his father rather than his mother. It was also his father whom he confessed to having a greater fondness for men than women. His father wasn't really supportive of said confession, and even lost a bit of respect for his son, but being close, they have remained civil in each other's presence. Mostly, if his father does not witness or hear, then he continues to be civil. Once Yuu graduated high school, he immediately went into culinary school, unsure of what he wanted to do. He has experience in all fields of cooking, but grew to adore baking and its arts. He was allowed to be as creative as he wished, and with him having such a huge sweet tooth, he could constantly taste whatever he liked without a second thought. During school, he sought an internship at a few locations, and was granted one at Doki Doki Honey; mostly due to him being gay and the crazy cougar liking his personality. Once he graduated from culinary school, he was invited to be the head pastry chef with a full-time position. He readily took it, having grown fond of Doki Doki Honey during his part-time internship.
