Aether, the great light that emerged from the union of Nyx and Erebos; so some like myself claim. The first lord of the sun, the warmth, and all attributes of Light. The balancer of darkness and frightening shadows, the lord that turns night to day and awakens is, bring of growth to all flora.

There is to date only one depiction found of Aether, on the Altar of Pergamon, and its in poor shape. But there is enough there that you can Aether's shape. Of him it is writer as a description, "God of the tight crisp golden locks of hair." And when I read that, it was enough description for me. His short curly hair and his Golden Himation was all that was needed. Like his parents, Aether and his consort Hemera were sent on a immortal battle to destroy or tame a lion that kept the sun locked away. The two defeated the lion and cast him into the constellation Leo. Hence the "hard to see" lion motif in his shield behind Aether's radiance.
