Description

Kratos is a NPC in my Dark Heresy RPG campaign, a fierce Ultramarine that usually works as bridge between the characters and the renegade captain of the 8th Company, Lord Numetor.

Brother Kratos born on Planet Ilyria, a rural backwater world in the fringes of Ultramar. Being tall and muscular since young age, he married a girl named Pallas at 14 years old and had a daughter soon after. The year after his daughter was born, a WAAAGH invaded the planet and, while he was fighting with the Ilyrian militia, butchered his wife and daughter.

Sole survivor of his platoon, Kratos traveled back to his home just to find the remains of his past life. His rage was so fierce that he grabbed all the weapons he found and stole a cargo ship just to follow the retreating orks and die killing every single one of them. The orks were surrounded and finished by the 2nd Company of Ultramarines, and the Astartes were amazed at the furious brat that had single-handed invaded the alien ship and convinced him to join their ranks.

For two hundred years, Kratos rose at the ranks of Ultramar, being transferred to the 1st Company and sacred as a Terminator Brother. He befriended Captain Numetor from the 8th Company and joined him in a internal uprising against Macragge and their strict hierarchy recently.

Well done! You should draw him with power armor for a more awesome look.

Ohhh that beard. They are so hard to draw, but his looks extremely nice if I may say so. Nice going with the backstory.

that is one hell of a backstory.

I am surprised though that you don't have Kratos be a member of his own chapter.

Dan Abnett's book "Iron Snakes" is about a greek themed chapter of astartes that battle using spears and shield after the bolters run out of ammo.

Krato's chapter could be the Ares-Mark or War-Marked Marines. they could be a little bit more crazy and blood thirsty than regular ultramarines.

Maybe Kratos could try to start his own chapter in the calixis sector...

Heheheh, thanks!

Well, I think the Minotaurs and Iron Hands also look a bit greek themed, but my campaign is happening in Ultramar, and, well, the Ultrasmurfs are a bit roman themed, and Rome ruled over Greece for long...
