Democracy - Two wolves and a sheep debating on what to have to eat.
The US Founding Fathers were smart about such things hence a Constitutional Republic based on God Given Rights.
The mess our education systems are in is because of democracy in action. A majority of people thought it'd be alright for government to have power over education.

More like a perversion of democracy, the kind that happens when the average citizen can only ask their local representative to ask their higher-up to ask their-higher up to do something, but won't, because every congressman and congresswoman has been bought off by some kind of business or rich asshole. The kind that happens when superdelegates can shit on democracy.

People think superdelegates(and other recent screwjobs) is something 'new'. There has been IQ Tests, Literacy Tests, and so on. All in the name of preserving 'democracy'.

Wait, so... Giving someone an IQ test and Literacy test to determine if they're smart enough to have the right to vote, thereby imposing their opinions and wills on others simply by being in the majority, are bad now?Β

It what was done to blacks after they were freed. And since a majority of them never learned to read or write and the racists didn't want them to vote in came the Literacy/IQ Tests.

Hold up, I remember hearing about blacks that learned to read while they were in slavery. What about them?

Very, very, very few were permitted to learn how to read and write.

Hold up. Your argument is that tests used to determine if someone is smart enough to be allowed to vote are bad, because one time, they were used to fuck over black people that couldn't pass the test. By that logic, knives and forks are bad, because they were probably used to kill people at some point.Β

Supper knives and forks have the initial use that is meant for cutting/eating food. The killing part is an abuse of those things. IQ Tests were purposely designed from the start to screw people(blacks) over.

Gasp, they were? Is that why Mensa only let people in if they pass an IQ test?

I'm talking about in terms of being able to vote, not mensa.

Bingo! I have been blogging about this very topic for a decade. They have no need for an educated populace that can figure out how badly it is being screwed. Communism/capitalism, funded by the same folks, are both the same thing with many different approaches to the same end.

"Gradually, by selective breeding, the congenital differences between rulers and ruled will increase until they become almost different species. A revolt of the plebs would become as unthinkable as an organized insurrection of sheep against the practice of eating mutton."

Unwittingly or not, Russell, the 'humanist', helped lay the groundwork for many of the
elite's designs for the last century and beyond.

I think that it is a form of freeing people from the lies of technology; the shiny GUIs that most people like to see can sometimes hide the truth.
