Creativity FTW
There's a difference of both appearance and personality. That much is clear. I get the impression of a circle with those wings being places like that. Yin and Yang; Light and Dark.
Nove seems to be the somewhat energetic type while DN is one for apathy. That's what it looks like to me

And so you are very observant and precise, yes, the picture was slightly based off Ying and Yang, and originally I was going to go for a design. I ended up using that concept in one for a good friend, but I kept this one on the same subject.
Indeed, Nova's personality differs alot from Specimen #93, as it seems through 50% of inherited DNA, Dark Nova didn't record a trace of positive data, but what seemed to be negative data.

I still remember the story.
Observant. Yes, I tend to make such comments like that. They're way better than one-word ones, right?
So we all have some story for our characters. They can be inspired, original and in some cases down-right messed up. I got one of those moments where I baffled myself with one of my own character quotes.
"Saracos: With our sight we ask: Does the sun shine. The light moves. The light. It travels. Sibling of the kin⦠perceive capacity⦠Light."
I forgot what he really wanted to say and... you know the rest

Good good. x3
and yes, it is. It also shows a thorough understanding, so you must have an artistic mind.
Yes, without the background and story, you would not know your own character's true personality and intentions. That's what's so fun about having them, you can be imaginative and end up with mind-blowing storylines if you really try at it.
x3 Hehe.

I do have his backstory done. It's not six pages XD
I remember having it in my notes somewhere. That's good. Then I won't have to type the whole thing again. XP

Absolutely brilliant piece here Moonie!~ The colouring and lineart is so smooth and greatly worked on. And I love how the BG turns light to dark, it's very pretty <3 :3
Can I ask what program you use? xDD;

I love how Dark Nova or Avon(I think it was) isn't just a copy of Nova that's evil. It's also great how she isn't just the opposite of Nova to make the evil character. For an antagonist like this, you really did a great job with it.

oreokeki In reply to AetherealBunny [2007-07-20 07:43:13 +0000 UTC]
Yep, Nova backwards XD Scientifically known as Specimen #93, but obviously it's just easier for the others to refer to her as the dark version as one of the main protagonists.
Thank you! ^.^
