Amber stuck a foot into Scarlet's midsection and kicked her away. Scarlet rolled backward, avoiding a strike that created sparks as it struck against the ground.

"Good form," Amber praised her. "Great balance of offense and defense. Much better than I expected." Scarlet looked down, avoiding Amber's gaze as she twirled her machete.

"I see; you're avoiding my gaze to not give away you intentions," Amber noted. Scarlet suddenly lashed out, swinging for Amber's neck. Amber parried the strike and grabbed Scarlet's wrist, and struck with a strike of her own, which Scarlet grabbed her sword arm. They pushed against each other in a battle of strength.

"You've improved since last time we fought," Amber said.
