This map is a "corrected" version of one that appeared in the Big Golden Book tie-in to the Disney movie "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" in 1954. That map also seems to have been the basis for the one created for the Disneyland-Paris Nautilus walk-through exhibit. (I've identified 8 characteristics the two versions have in common.) The problem with those maps is that they were apparently based on pre-production concept art rather than the matte paintings actually used in the movie, created by Peter Ellenshaw. The matte paintings depict a much wider outer shoreline with respect to the crater rim. Consequently, the inner lagoon must be much smaller than that shown in the Golden Book/Disneyland-Paris versions and pre-production art.

This map is based on the matte paintings and live action sets from the movie. I've used known sizes of elements in the movie to determine the probable scale of this map.
