The story

I'm not a writer and I have a small English vocabulary '''orz

She was married to a man, a wanted thief, an outlaw.
He promised her that they would have a happy ending with their toddler, she believed him.
So she followed him wherever they went.

Poor they were so he performed a petty crime to give her a meal.
Thought he was saved by the corner, too bad he didn‘t check twice before heading home.
Their home was in the wilderness far from any nearby towns.
There they were safe in a hill, near a glacier.
He brought his starving wife her meal, who was putting their child to sleep.
Behind the door were shouts of confront, they knew he was there.
Afraid, the mother held tight unto the crying baby.
Father took out his iron sword, refusing going down without a battle.
He shouted at his lover to escape.
They were both ready for this day, she crawled with her toddler outside through the hidden backdoor.
She stood their bare-feet on cold black sand, although the roar of the waterfall was great, the crying of the child could still be heard.
She hushed the child, hoping it didn‘t catch any attention... but it kept crying
So she sang a lullaby.
It slept in her arms.
She knew the tragic future for the baby if they would be caught by them.
The baby slept all peacefully without knowing anything what was going on...
Too save her child from that future, she had to ended it here.
She walked towards the edge of the waterfall.
Hesitating, looking at the child's face.
Her husband shouts of perish ended when the sound of an axe swung down to his flesh.

Tears running down her cold cheeks.
She threw her child in the waterfall.
Collapsed down to her knees, heart aching.
The men weren't long finding her.
She got the torturious treatment she deserved for being a criminal‘s wife.
