I never uploaded this and I'm not sure why.

This is probably the creation I'm most proud of to date. I made months and months back for ~Phlum , and it took me a very long time to complete. Apart from the main seams in the body, head and legs, everything here is hand-sewn - including the stripes, which were attached at the very end. Fiddly.

If you're not familiar with the cartoons of Bill Watterson, this is Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes, the stuffed tiger which is brought to life by a six-year-old's imagination. I'd recommend you take a peek if you're never come across the strips, they're very lovely indeed! It was difficult working to replicate an existing character, especially as Hobbes is drawn very simply and many aspects of his appearance are to do with very subtle things like the way he leans and the way his limbs fall. I'm very happy with the final result, though.

I used this great Instructables post for the bulk of the pattern and stuff, but I ended up changing quite a lot so mine doesn't look a whole lot like the original. Still, give it a look! It's a simple project, albeit very time-consuming... but well worth the effort.

Since I no longer have the plushie, I couldn't tell you how large it is. 'Fairly large' is the answer to that. He's made from polar fleece, synthetic stuffing and filler beads to make the legs and tail flop around a bit. Stitches used include blanket stitch, ladder stitch and back stitch and... sewing machine stitch.
