Oh sorry, I was meaning to be sarcastic with that first sentence. Ellen Page's character got swayed (a little too easily?) after learned at babies in the []th week already developed fingernails, and began to think about giving him away for adoption.
The real merits of the movie are Juno's parents' valuable support and understandings once she made up her mind to have the baby in nine months. I'd expect lots of pro-lifers to go gaga over that choice, but they certainly did not see all the s[ ]t Juno had to go through even with her parents on her back. The people at school who sneer at her, Pauley Bleeker's general helplessness, and the fact that Vanessa'a husband tried to bail.
I'm strongly reminded of something Abraham Lincoln once said (paraphrasing because I learned of it in Chinese): "Whenever I hear people extol the virtues of slavery I would have this urge, this urge to bring this glorious system of slavery unto himself." Here's something more relevant to our topic here to think about: If someone (I guess that someone has to be female then) herself got pregnant (if male, then have someone close to him get pregnant) ... under certain circumstances ... and elected to bring the child to term, never mind the physical pain, never mind the social stigma, the labor that wrecked what's left of her health and sanity, not even counting the years of raising and supporting the child that's yet to come... If after THAT he or she could still say with a straight face and clear conscience that other women should also go though all that with no doubts raised or questions asked, then I would hang my head and feel small and humble.
But I guess that doesn't happen very often, hmm? Or if it does, I don't reckon they'd become a vocal pro-lifeer advocate afterwards.

Hey, stuff like that changed Juno's mind, didn't it?
But seriously, I'd say that the notion that one had went through a partial pregnancy, might have become a mother, and all the physical and psychological trauma from the abortion process would be enough "punishment" for those who chose abortion. Yes, I believe that women folk should have control over their bodies, but that also means that they should think about the ramifications (if only to themselves and not to the maybe-a-child) for making a choice to terminate a pregnancy.

You know, why don't we go to a hospital and yank everybody off of life support whether they will actually wake from their coma or not? They likely can't feel it. :V
Or how about the fact that non whites were considered subhuman back then? And don't you dare bring up the whole "It's insulting to compare a fetus to a black person". Your beloved Planned Parenthood was formed for the purpose of eugenics, after all. Margaret Sanger was well beloved by the KKK.
Fuck, since when did pro choicers ever give two fucks about women? All they care about is fucking without consequence. And teaching children to fall into the same lifestyle.

And hell, what about post abortion? The newborns aren't fucking human either.

Are those people on life support violating my body in any way?
Planned Parenthood? Why do you lot always assume that everyone who debates abortion is American? I couldn't give two craps about American politics.
YouTube links are not legit, as an actor I can say to you that your "proof" is most likely fake.
I don't expect you to understand what is going through a woman's mind when she wants an abortion, anti-choicers are very rarely sympathetic towards pregnant women.

No, but they may be violating something else.
And besides, if one doesn't want the child, why do the thing that causes them to get pregnant? Do farmers spread seed on their field, and then spread poison on it to keep them from sprouting?
And you're ignoring a source that could educate you, even if it was on youtube. It's an excerpt from a documentary, and you use a flimsy excuse to put your fingers in your ears and go "lalalalalalalalala.."
I don't expect entitled feminazi children like you to have a good understanding of human rights. Libtards are rarely sympathetic towards those who don't want to pay for other's birth control, innocent human beings who have to bear the brunt of their parents' stupidity, or women who are suckered into the "pro choice" bullshit or pressured by their boyfriend to abort. Did I mention how clinics leave children out to die if they fail to get killed by the abortion? Or how they will keep the age of a 14 year old's partner under wraps so he doesn't get in trouble? Watch the damn video.

Last time I checked life machines were not viable, living creatures.
Sex is not a privilege for those who can afford birth control and abortion.
YouTube. Links. Are. Not. Legit.

Sorry, as long as the likes of you whine and pout about "wohmans rights" at the expense of caring for more important rights, then it's pretty damn impossible to take you seriously.
Besides, if $20 dollars a month is too expensive for you, you're a cheapskate.
Bawww!! Infanticide and plundering teh taxpayer R wohmans rites, and if u disagree, ur a misogynist! Dur Hur!

Alright. Do everybody a favor: Pick up a biology textbook and read it, and stop bitching about the fact that you'll have to pay $20 a month for birth control if you want the pills so badly.

I know plenty about foetal development thank you very much. I get free birth control on the NHS anyway so I was never bitching in the first place.

Very true, if crudely written. You can't tell a woman what she is allowed and not allowed to do with her body. If you don't allow abortion, you might as well legalese rape. It's on the same scale. Yes, I know that's controversial but it's true in my eyes.
