Wow! For some reason this really puts me in mind of a very abstract sun-moon. A large yellows sun and a small yellow moon in a dark sky cast lights and shadows all around- and the trees are a very nice touch, as is the black and white contrast, the checkerboard texture, the water-stain spots, the red glow around the black circle...I could go on and on. I also like how the two circles are off-center, giving this piece a definite horizon. Good work.
