Simply amazing! Did you just use photoshop or did you use any other programs for this? How long did it take you to do this?

Only Photoshop. Can't really remember how long it took. Maybe 10-15 hours.

I love the fluidic style, how do you do the curvy shapes?

Ov3RMinD In reply to AdamBurn [2008-07-12 13:58:49 +0000 UTC]
They are painted with a soft round brush. I start with a bigger size (~20 px) and slowly reduce it down to 1 px to do the details.

Actually the original is a bit sharper. I think it's the deviantArt-scaling that reduced the sharpness a little.

Oh yes, that would blur it a little. When I downsize, I usually do it in photoshop, and apply sharpening if needed.

Ah. Would be quite nice to see the slightly sharper version, according to your tastes...

That's what I was aiming for. It would take ages to get this level of detail with using a soft round brush only.

Awesome.
I'd love to see it a bit sharper in the middle of the storm but otherwise very sound work!

It's the fault of the deviantArt resize image function. I now uploaded another version I resized in PS. Much sharper now.
