Description As per request by I've put together a little tutorial outlining how you can do thruster flames in Photoshop as post work to renders that contain turbine engines of any kind or even rocket boosters

The engine render used in this tutorial was taken from Sean Kennedy's "Serenity" mesh.

The tutorial - my first Photoshop tutorial - was created in Photoshop CS2 and assumes you have some basic knowledge of Photoshop and rendering.

If you have any questions, please either leave comments or note me and I will try and answer all of them as thoroughly as possible.

It would also be very interesting for me to know if you have used this tutorial, so if you could drop me a link to any work you did using this tutorial here in the comments I would love to have a look!

Enjoy.

(I do realize there are many ways to create flames etc., even drawing them yourself using smudge effects and adjustment layers etc. This is just an example way of doing it and quicker, especially if the flames aren't really the center piece of the artwork, but just a mere supplement).
