I just had an idea for an icon set based on the macOS Voice Memos icon by Apple.

Apple’s Voice Memos icon: awesome. A set of similar icons for pro apps: awesomer.



For example, Final Cut Pro X: the square background could depict a video timeline object (rather than Voice Memos’ audio waveform), with the circular “badge” being a camera or lens or clapperboard (rather than Voice Memos’ microphone).

The square background and circular “badges” for Motion, Compressor, and Logic Pro X (which, similar to Voice Memos, I think would have a microphone), also themed to their specific functions.

Or as Final Cut Pro X, Motion, and Compressor are all similar, a good design theme might be to have similar, though slightly different video timeline object depictions. So that the icons better match — as the video suite set.

Perhaps to make “badges” more interesting — or as an optional, alternate version to each icon’s circular “badge” design — rather than each “badge” being a circle they could be a mini, own-shape icon, i.e. camera, lens, clapperboard, etc.
