Shame that this is only a concept. I would love to see how it fits into the context of a site. But, that's the beautiful thing about conceptual designs: you are not bound too much by real-life circumstances. Gives you an opportunity to experiment.I remember making pottery in art class, and what your design reminds me of is how we were taught to layer the clay to make its cylindrical form (I'm sure there are other, much more awesome ways to do it). This concept makes me think about the layering technique and relive those fond memories. It also has the benefit of giving texture to the space rather than a smooth wall. This actually makes the curvature you use even more expressive and experiential; making it flat would have made it rather dull, and you wouldn't really understand how the shelf spaces related to the making of the curved wall.

You're observations are amazing...all the more astonishing for me because I myself had participated into ceramic classes during my architectural studies and I still remember very well how I almost went crazy after having produced thousands of these layers which of course must be joint to each other by smearing the gaps between them....and after these classes I felt the frightening urge to fill and smear at the very sight of any gap...Probably this design of mine is still a side effect of those times .Anyway your subtle comment is much appreciated.

I remember those, too. Gah!

Dear Nini, thank you...yes I like concepts in general - though I also would like to find the possibility to realize them... I've seen your work and was astonished by its diversity ... and greetings to Slovenia!
