Hoi len, sorry voor mijn late reply, maar life is busy for me..

The photo's are a moment in time, some i still have and some i sold, it happend that i had 4 300mm's now i have 2 but during the winter i will put one on the internet.
Same with macro lenses , i had about 4 as wel , now i only kept the vivitar 90mm.
But on the other hand i found a brandnew Mir-1 , which i bought together with 3 other lenses a half year ago, the 3 others i sold a week later and forgot about the Mir.
used it today for the first time, and it is one i will keep for sure !! beautifull rendering, will post a few photo's later on !
Nice thing is that there are still legacy lenses from the 70ties and 80ties to be found that can outperform todays "Digital" lenses at a fraction of the cost !
Of the M42 (screwmount) lenses i have the cheapest was 3 euro and the most expensive (300mm) 80 Euro, Leitz R lenses are expensive but are worth every dime, and with the anouncement of the New leica M body that can use M and R serie lenses and will be for sale in jan 2013, secondhand prices for the R lenses is going up rapidly now. so its an investment for the future since they are no longer made !!
Have a look at the next link with a lot of legacy lenses >> [link]

Yes it does, hereby my oldest lens i use from 1897 !! [link] and a sample foto which i took with it >> [link] at F11 and one at full opening [link]
It will not give you the same quality as the high end lenses of today, it is very pleasing to use them !!
I also use a lot of lenses out of the seventies and eighties, which can deliver the same high resolution and contrast of todays high end lenses at a budget price !!, see the next folder [link]

Thanks, this is one with an English lens out of 1897 attached to the E420 , read the text !! [link] and this photo was taken with the combination [link] and this one of my wive caro as wel [link]
I use a lot of old manual focus lenses on the Oly's by means of an adapter between the lens and the body !! see [link] and [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]
Adapter will set you back between 8 and 12,- but opens a world of very good and in-expensive screw mount lenses out of the 80's that can be used on the oly body in manual or aperture mode , Ok, you won't have autofocus , and have to focus manualy and set the aperture on the lens, the rest will be calculated by the body (shutterspeed)

the Russian Macro bellow was 10,-, and the voigtlander skopar lens 25,- on a flea-market, the adapting rings and bayonet 17,- including postage from Hong Kong.
So a grand total of 52,- !!
There are still bargains to be found, but it will take time and patience , before i had it complete (and for a low price) 3 months had passed !!!

Found this Russian Bellow with fine adjustment in mint condition in its original box with manual for 20,- (asking price was 25,-).
Max extension is 20 cm !! so from infinity to macro !!
Also found a mint uncoated CArl Zeiss Tessar F4,5 12cm , set in a compur dail shutter, from around 1924, so another project coming up .
Thanks for the advice to use a bellow !!

simply wonderful, good things never die!
I remember my uncle using a plate-and-bellow (full-format plate!) camera for school photo montages in the last years before Photoshop, brings back memories I never thought I'd recall.

Oh yes, a studio 13x18 camera! Never thought I'd see something like that here on Deviantart!
I guess it's pretty hard to really strain its abilities - even with uncoated optics but good lightning it can easily do bright and focused analogs of 16+ megapixel resolutions in studio setups (like, a whole wall of perfectly readable text).

Its a Thornton-Pickard Imperial triple extension, 1/2 plate size (approx 5 x 7 inches !!) , and the lens is a Taylor and Hobson F6,3 11,25 inch !
I think in good light conditions it can equal with a 20Mp camera .
Its still in use !!
