Canadian, Texas

When you can see the tornado continue upwards through the RFD cut, it's a good day. I've never seen anything like it in person and it's something I wanted to capture for a while. This tornado went through multiple shapes in its life; it started as this large cone, then became a rather grungy wedge, before finally starting to rope out for several minutes... and barely moved a mile during the ten minutes it was down.

This is not my best or favorite picture of this tornado (shot through a rainy windshield, ugh...), but I have been too busy chasing, hanging out with friends in town, and working/sleeping to edit any other shots. I took over 4,000 pictures alone on this chase, so going through and just picking my favorites is going to be tough! I didn't want to just post that journal and then vanish for a month without posting a picture, though, so here's the one shot I've edited so far. More to come! I promise! Probably going to chase again during my next two days off, though, so I have no idea when I'll have time to sit down and go through pictures.

Thank you! Hopefully the summer has something to offer. Mid-June looks like it could be a bit active, but it's all up in the air beyond that.
