Ugh, I know this feeling too well. Every eye that I can see must be staring at me and picking me apart. And then they follow me into my precious alone-time when I start to wonder about what they saw and what they thought about it. And trying to tell myself that they didn't see anything and I'm thinking too hard about nothing just makes me worry that I'm wrong.
She looks emaciated too, as if they're sucking all of the nourishment and energy out of her exhausted body, stealing it for themselves...
Once in a while though, I will manage to pluck a friendly and kind eye out of the ravenous bunch, and to me, these are the most precious things of all. Yours is an eye I am forever grateful to share gazes with. <3

And yes indeed, it is a very fitting symbol for such inner struggles. Heh, I have sometimes wondered this myself, actually. Though I wonder if it would make things better or more difficult if others were to see these things in a way they would understand. It may still come down to them at the end of the day, and how they feel or believe about such things, or it may help them to empathise in a new way that they haven't before... Either way, a deeply affecting and highly effective way to illustrate such feelings and traits!
