Great to hear!
If you need more details on how to win or how to get better puffs
look up on bulbapedia
it's a highly recomended wiki for pokemon itself!

I know I found them out after I made this.
It's 5-6 hearts depending on if the pokemon likes the flavor.
Problem is I can't update the list without making it...well let's say it will look very unorganized and messy.
Even if so this is a beginners list.Β
Naturally after a while of playing you find out more but people just need the general idea about it. That way they can build up to better ways to play on their own.

Flavors are like berries...
Certain natures are good with some berries...which in turn raises "friend" levels in pokemon who need freind levels like umbreon or espeon.
In all it's tough to tell how many hearts come out at times but if you choose the right flavor an extra heart comes out from the five normally.Β
Yes well many can tell due to the fact touch screen is involved. It's mostly common sense once you figure that out...meanwhile he rest takes a bit of thinking.
Np I love chatting about pokemon info!
((It's Kool I don't mind people doing that, as long as it isn't rudely then it's all Kool!))

Well thing is if you fail to get silvion you actually have no other choice. I had one of my eevee's max in pokemon Amie but it didn't know a fairy move so it turned into espeon instead.
Nah it's fine...I've player all the games except...
Diamond/pearl/platinum
I never got into it nor had the money for it...perhaps one day I will but idk it never appealed to me...
I'm unable to get my old games back ;-; I have no game boy.
But I can play the newer games and enjoy the thought of the old games.

Yep
And in all it was to overleved to get fairy moves so I just stuck with it as my eevee breeder.
Well I had red, then I lost it at my grandmothers
I then had crystal which...broke
I had fire red which went missing then ended up in a friend of mines car which crashed and was sent to the dump to be re manufactoerd into metal waste. ;-; it never deserved that fate.
I have my sapphire but I have no game boy to play on with it.
And of course black/x/y etc. new games I'm playing currently.

Well at least you have the potential to get shiny babies! XD
Then you could get a SHINY sylveon!!
Oh my god mate that is the worst luck i've ever heard!!
Dayum!
there's always a gameboy advance/SP to play them, SP can play the first gen games too, just look around any videogame places or even local flea markets and second hand stores, I found a bunch of old consoles and games in second hand shops, last time I found a Ps2 for 19 bucks.
Ya never know til you look :3

I've gone through 2896 eggs... With Masuda method...
Oh lawdy help me! I want dat shinyyyy!
Yep...
I've looked and the closest game shop is...GameStop which doesn't sell old systems anymore AT ALL. They also got rid of the game boy glass case so old games are nothing...aggghhhhhh

Wow really? My gamestop and EB games still have that glass case, thats bizzare. Could be the region yer in. Im from the east coast of canada so I guess we keep the old stuff longer (from what i noticed from the neighboring provinces). THere are always second hand shops as i said! THere's yer final chance! >:3

Pokemon amie is fun but I don't know how to trigger the games "making faces".
π: 0 β©: 1
Painted1994 In reply to spyromak [2013-11-16 01:24:27 +0000 UTC]
It's easy to trigger but hard to complete.
That yellow happy face in the bottom left corner means the camera on your 3ds is trying to find your face to make the pokemon happy.
Problem is the camera on the system is very bad and sometimes can't detect your face no matter how hard you smile or room lighting.
I suggest sticking to regular games rather than the making face one.
They're funner, easier, and doesn't require you or your settings to be specified

Thanks for some great info - it will help me bond a lot more with my Pokemon. I spent at least 80% of my Pokemon X playing with Pokemon Amie, I might spend 95% or more of my Pokemon Y on Pokemon amie (the Head It game is addicting)
π: 0 β©: 1
Painted1994 In reply to JyoEspy [2013-11-09 07:49:16 +0000 UTC]
I couldn't fit all the knowledge I had...but I got the majority into there.
Now for those very good at the mini games like head it there is a higher challenge.
Unlimited is a challenge that keeps going until you miss three yarn balls in head it.
Score over...I'm not sure if 850-900 but try to get as high of a score as possible and you may see the "special" tier poke puffs that give much more hearts AND by playing so well it'll increase the "green notes" it gained of playing and thus make it much closer to becoming closer.
WARNING
Pokemon Amie DOES NOT affect battling other trainers online.
Pokemon Amie is meant to make the game easier and much funner, if not more closer to your pokemon than ever. In true competion it would be a bit unfair to have enough love to cure poison right away, that said when dealing with in game...no one cares and there isn't a limit, therefore it's used much more often BUT should never be relied on entirely.
Affection can "increase" the chances of good things happening but it's only a chance and not a secure idea that it always will. This is to only make us feel a bond to these pixel creatures and now 3d creatures which is pretty much exactly how "nineteen dogs, tamagotchi, etc etc." pets should act. Pokemon, are technically pets so yay!
Hope you don't become overwhelmed from my definition...I needed to put down some key facts.

Pokemon-amie is hella cute, jeez.
I personally excel at Berry picker so that's where I get my higher tiers. I got ones with sakura blossoms and maple leaves though, so perhaps you may want to touch on that? I don't know if they are any better but you sure have to do a lot to get them.
I have so many poke puffs that I actually couldn't get anymore, so I've been laying off the games and just petting and feeding my pokemon. I practice on tile puzzle too much, I want to see what you get when you get a high score on Unlimited mode. UwU;

Painted1994 In reply to Lambageddon [2013-10-16 19:16:26 +0000 UTC]
So far I score high on Head It.
I have gotten to the point of being able to hit the big yarn at the end, get a combo streak of over 60 and score up to 400+
So I tend to get 4 tier a lot, especially pink cherry ones and green straws.Β
Considering on how many people play the games a huge majority play Head it so it seemed like an easier game to me and a lot others.

Lambageddon In reply to Painted1994 [2013-10-16 21:00:22 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, Head It is fun, and I really enjoy playing it as well. I play Unlimited most of the time though, as I hypothesize you get the cool intricate poke puffs (maple and cherry blossom, tier 5???) by scoring very high on it, and I really want to see if there are more besides the two I've seen currently.
Β I see! I'm more of a matching game person myself, so I excel at Berry Picker, but I've been trying to play Head it to get better at it.

Painted1994 In reply to Lambageddon [2013-10-16 21:09:08 +0000 UTC]
I've gone on unlimited on head it and so far found nothing much to that degree.
Him good at head it because it's fast paced, uses your ears and eyes to calculate a perfect hit, and timing.Β
Purple is faster than norm
Kitty ears is slower than norm (any color)
It becomes a timed game so I'm good at those.
Thing is you can get anything as a topping on the poke puffs but only one topping making it fall to tier 4
Unless! It gives you more than five hearts then it's either a favorite to that pokemon or it is tier 5.

Lambageddon In reply to Painted1994 [2013-10-16 22:00:12 +0000 UTC]
Ah, yeah I knew about the different speed, but I didn't actually see that the slow ones had kitty ears lol.
Β
Well, the ones I got have several blossoms/leaves on them. Really pretty, actually.
IΒ had beenΒ wondering if there were favorites, with the different animations they had when I gave them certain puffs. My delphox likes chocolate the most, I think the dark chocolate but I'm not sure. He's a sweetie though.

Well it seems that pink are a favorite among eevees
And green to my charmander
Idk how it works but once you find a favorite it works well.
Hmm it might just be a tier 5 though I've never seen it and I looked up all the types to check online to...if so then cool!

Painted1994 In reply to UltimateSassMaster [2013-10-16 03:54:35 +0000 UTC]
In all that's just the viewers perspective but it is funny to think that
Meanwhile with honedge they prefer the handle
Eevee a prefer the scruff of their neck
Etc. etc.
Pokemon are built differently and so they enjoy different areas.
But whatever you think makes the game funner!

Painted1994 In reply to UltimateSassMaster [2013-10-16 04:33:30 +0000 UTC]
Because it's ears contain it's other two eyes that hold all it's psychic power...I'd be careful too!
It's sorta like a cat with pokemon, they only like certain spots and the rest they'll hate you for. In all I love that fact alone!
Though on thing that gets me is how the heck are the wings of a vivilion a great spot to let when in real life butterfly are very cautious about their wings and antennae. The only place I've found to pet a butterfly would be the thorax (butt) or the bottom of the head.
Idk some pokemon are very very odd...
Ohhhhhhh btw do you have the game? Cause if so we can exchange Β friend codes so we can trade often and battle!

π: 0 β©: 1
Painted1994 In reply to Crazy-Bluestar [2013-10-16 03:48:18 +0000 UTC]
From what I can tell yes, there hasn't been much info on friendship levels vs. affection levels even if they sound the same.
Until more info is out keep leveling and using soothe bell to evolve via friendship levels and it might be safe to just do the pokemon Amie anyhow since it's got so many perks.
