Description Line art commission for of his dragon character, Storm.

Now, I rarely draw dragons anymore, so to say this was a challenge is stretching a bit. It's the wings that make it tricky; putting them down on paper that ends up being too small makes it even worse. I tried pulling off a sort of perspective here, and I'm not sure how well it's working. I assure you, however, that I did try. (Very hard.) That's not to say I didn't enjoy drawing him, however.

I love the feet-- the articulation is fantastic. I think your wings came out good, but you could try adding more shading to the rear wing and to the end of the tail to make them sink back behind the rest of the character a bit more. --faved

Thanks! It's always fun to draw them when they look differently than your standard western dragons. I can't say I have much for originality in that department, however, so I'll just draw dragons belonging to other people.

I do love lithography, as well as intaglio, particularly copperplate etching. *misses the joy of a traditional printmaking studio*

Thanks! It would also seem that I'm finally getting some of my hatching skills back. It's tricky with a dip pen, sometimes.

Excellent work! I must say that you have drawn extremely close to what I see with my mind's eye. I agree that wings are very tricky to draw. Most of the time when I used to attempt to draw dragons, I would draw the wings folded.

Thanks you! This has reminded me that it wouldn't hurt for me to work on dragons, especially those with wings, or just draw wings in general.
