i know it sounds simple....but look at real pictures and how the lighting is....

than colour your picture from where the agle of light should be coming from...

also practice lol...i know it sounds borig...but experince helps

shading, makes a big difference, highlights and shadows....look at others work to help you....sometimes it might help

nah...i dont use a template, i just imagine the lighting and shading...and if it looks wrong, than i'll change the shading till it looks right
