time spent: uhm, about 20 hours
This was truly a learning experience, with texture of the feathers, scales and the thin leather and the horns! I got to play with how the different surfaces bounces and reflects light... I've been studying light and backgrounds lately, so I needed to get it tested out! I'm quite proud of the result though I think I could do better... I don't know what I think about this! I like it enough to upload it, though it seems like it's not done, like there is something I missed! But then again I think everyone thinks that sometimes xD And I was going to add sea under her but I'm glad I dindn't... That would be too clichΓ© I think... I would like some constructive critique please!
Anyways I drew this for a fellow norwegian devianter :3 I drew this for her, and the dragon, Myster, her design is copyrighted to Sunimo! So no copying! The art is copyrighted by PantheraSonya, me that is... 2010.
Go check out Sunimo's art, she makes amazing traditional art, and now she has just got Photoshop so... Hold on to your wigs! Can't wait for her to finish her part, she is gonna draw PantheraS as a dragon in her style!

Hmm.. I really really like it. The way you shaded it though gave it a more realistic sort of feel, but some of the lines I see sort of contradict it (if that makes sense?). It has great potential to be an even better realistic work, if you're willing to invest more time into it. ;]

yes, I see what you mean.. I used a drawing a I just scanned in and colored over it, so the lines is probably looking a bit squiggly and clumsy here and there, and there is contraction between line-art and coloring.. Thanks for the critique and for the comment!
