I think these little creatures are so gorgeous. Mine talks, whistle and he lives free in the house.

I love birds. But mine does not talk apart to himself and other birds through the window. I let him out of his cage to fly about the room but mostly he prefers to stay there and play with his toys

Oh but if you go on youtube you'll see a lot a talking budgies. It's very natural for them to repeat few words. You must be patient and repeat often a little phrase you like. In very few days you'll hear your budgie to repeat it! I bought mine in a common pet shop, he was in a cage among lot of budgies and at first he was scared, but after few weeks, he came on my hands and start talking. Without any constriction.

Tried that for years. Never had a budgie talk. Heard one once in someone's house.But only once, ever!And I'm at least 5 years old

It's a pity, because it's so amazing to hear them talking. At this point I think I was lucky, this is my first budgie and he talks...a lot!
Anyway the're wonderful creatures.
