Description Inspired by a photo I seen of an island in New Caledonia by Alan Delmas:

I'd love to visit this place. I don't live too far from here either, and return flights are only around $700.
If I ever win a lottery though, I'll be buying a yacht and taking myself there! You gotta have a dream right?

Created in Vue.
Thanks for looking!

New Cal is awesome (as is this image too!) We went there for our French excursion in Year 10, back when I was down in Brissie. When you do get out there, make sure you check out Amedee Lighthouse and this little waterfall and pool near Yate.

It does looks sweet, you're lucky to have been. I have already noted the lighthouse as a place to visit too, thanks for the tips

You are most welcome!
Keep up the marvelous work! I would like to live on that beach with the beautiful crystal clear water. WOW!

Cool! The bright aqua of the water is almost blinding, as we would expect it to be in real life. Better get those polarizing sunnies on The water does seem to have a tiling pattern that becomes more noticeable near the left below the further boat, but I love the caustic happening in the water. I can never be bothered getting those to work in Vue so I find ways to "fake it"

Haha cheers dude
Whenever I tried getting caustics to work they would never show up but I think it was because I was always adding some softness to the sun settings. I've been using 0 degrees of softness in the last 3 scenes I've done.

I think that dastardly repetitive tile patch could be the bump I used for the water.. That one somehow slipped through my quality assurance tests..

I guess adding softness to the sunlight is only necessary when you are near a shadow of an object anyway, but not out at sea like this

Yeah somehow even some of Vue's functions still can generate some repetitive patterns (particularly some of the "wave" functions in some of default water materials). Perhaps adding some gentle, but large-scale turbulence to the water material may help random things up a bit next time

Yep, I'm gonna be keeping my eye open wider next time
Cheers dude!
