Painted Desert near "Teepees" at the end of the day. The cloud cover was building throughout the day and this was the pay-off. A park ranger showed up just after this was taken and we were told that the park closed an hour before sunset and we were to leave because the park was closed... so we did.Related content

This is just beautiful.
It's a shame you couldn't stay until sunset for a photo then, Ive never heard of a national park closing before.
