...Is worth two in the bush.I painted it, though I was working with a rather limited palette. For some reason, the watercolours I was using were full of breadcrumbs. Which I couldn't really do much about.
So, made with watercolours and breadcrumbs on illustration board.

His work got him in quite a bit of trouble, but the natural combinations of the animals are nice to use a references! Might spark some ideas too!

you're welcome! He's a huge inspiration for me. I used to design creatures and dragons, and his work is very similar with where I wanted those to go. I am itching to make creatures again!

Wow, this is gorgeous. I'm really impressed with how you were able to get the blues and greens in the tails to be so intense and vivid while still flowing together well and not washing out. That's not easy with watercolors.

You think so? I was actually pleasantly surprised in the texture they gave in the inital wash. Too bad the scanner does not seem to pick it up too well.
