My First ATC. What is it? Artists will do a small drawing on 2.5"x 3.5" cards and exchange them with each other.This drawing was requested by the Very Talented Graphite Artist Robyn Dolby
She is doing a drawing that I requested and we will mail them to each other.
I would like to collect these small drawings from most of my favorite graphite artists...I would love to have original art from them, even on this small scale.
You can buy these blank cards pre-cut in your favorite art supply store on on-line. My favorite smooth bristol also comes in this card size!
• ATC card size 2.5" x 3.5" (6.35 x 8.89cm)
• 2B pencil on strathmore 300 series ATC size card
• approx 1 hour to draw

53 faves / 650 views in 1 day....more than I have in my entire gallery in 2 years. pretty nice if you ask me, considering you have damaged your reputation quite a bit with those stupid journals. So you see? There is still hope. Get your pencil up and draw. The rest will follow! You know you've got the skills and you don't need others to tell you that.

It's very good to see you back with a lovely drawing and sounding so positive. ATC's are a lot of fun and one from Robyn is just brilliant, she's a little treasure ... but be warned, it will come wrapped in a box big enough for six A3 pads of paper and double bubble wrapped just to be sure

I've seen these small bristol boards in Michaels and thought, "Now who is actually going to use these and for what?" ..... now I know! Little did I know someone was going to draw a portrait on it
