A very young Keanu Reeves...This is a surprise Birthday Present for my wife!!! She loves this PUNK!..he really warms her gravy
.This is 11 x 14 on Hot press llustration board and a 2B pencil...took about 3.5 hours.

I really love your work. And this piece especially. It may just be me, but you seem to press kinda hard with your pencils. I do it too. All the time. I end up having to roll a kneaded eraser over my pieces to get them lighter
I don't know what it is, but I can't help but feel like there's SOMETHING missing in most of your pieces. Nothing big, just that final something that makes your jaw drop. You know what I mean?
Do you do these from photographic reference, or from memory? If it's memory, that could be it. I kinda feel like the proportions are wrong. Just a little bit off. I mean, it's very clear that your drawing looks like Keanu Reeves here, but it just ISN'T Keane Reeves yet. It's hard to explain. I think this is the closest likeness though. It could just be the hair. In your other drawings the people have the kind of hair I dream of, but isn't really realistic.
I hope you don't get me wrong. I've been a huge fan of your work since I first saw it. It's just a shame because it's SO close to being perfect.
