aha, this is a very nifty technique called the emulsion lift

basically a polaroid photo is made up of loads of layers - if you cut it open and dunk it in hot water for a while, they seperate. the image you see is the photo layer, which I have floated onto a square of thick paper. The process of seperating the image and transferring it causes it to get loads of little folds and rips.

Basically... yeah.
but it was a crappy picture anyways I wasn't too bothered about taking it apart.

The other one, Friends - that I will keep forever, as its my first ever polaroid shot, and its of two good friends, so yeah means a bit more to me.

Polaroids are fun, give them a try some time if you have a bit of spare cash
