Description Here's some more original work. This is Fallout, a character for a comic project I've been working on a VERY long time (which with any luck will be getting off the ground this Summer).

Fallout is copyright Paul Hanley, 2007.

Wow! Looking good there, Fallout. Very cool design. Kinda creepy, too. What exactly is he? A total robot/android, or was he once human but forced to transfer his consciousness into a robotic body? Is he like a super soldier, or was he built to copy the average human in the way of physical abilities? Am I asking too many questions? Sorry... he's just really intriguing.

Can't say too much without giving away the story, but I'd say he's more of a "living weapon" than a "super soldier". You've hit the nail on the head that he's a human consciousness in a robot body (how'd ya guess that???), but his doing that leads to some very unexpected consequences.

And glad ya like it, btw.

Ah, of course. Ha, I dunno... just a lucky guess, I guess. I'm really into sci-fi, so it was just one possibility that came to mind. It also makes it easier to connect to someone who was once human, so I actually prefer it that way over androids and robots. Androids with advanced AIs can be cool too, though. Like Data on ST: TNG.

Of course. I'd love to know when the project is completed.

I'll definitely be crowing about it when the book's out. Right now we're just putting the "pitch packet" together for publishers- so it's not gonna be out this year. Early next pssibly, if things go well.

Nice work!
I can assume from the USAF that he's American but a Soviet counterpart with a high collared overcoat would look the bo**ocks!

Oddly enough, the fact that he doesn't have a Russian counterpart is very much a plot point of the story- though I agree a Soviet version with lots of cyrillic biohazard warnings and what not would look pretty bitchin' (I actually based his face on a Warsaw Pact-issue gas mask). However, the main character is an ass-kicking Russian super spy- so there's plenty of Soviet nuttiness elsewhere in the book.

Make a soviet version just for the sake of it

Anyway, very nice job, you must have patience to be able to draw all those details, in your place I'd have thrown my computer away before finishing it...

Computer? Hey, I draw these on a drafting table in pen and ink, man! The color and lettering is digital though.

But yeah, blueprint-style designs like this are really time consuming b/c they have to "work" in 3-dimensions. There's another design I did for this story (which I can't upload until it's published) that was even more complicated b/c it had a sort of "transforming" function that actually had to work. By the time I was finished I was halfway wondering if I should patent the damn thing.
