Self portrait, I tend to hide who I really am, due to some bad experiences in the past, as I can be quite nervous about what others think if I show my true self. I am changing now and look at this photo as a message to me not to hide.Related content

Great photo. Very emotive and good use of - space and framing. It's very good that you're hiding less but don't put too much weight into what others think. In the long run, what other people think is irrelevant... unless they're your employers!

I like this work. I love how you convey the concept of hiding yourself from the past into a photograph. It surprises me when you use the mask to hide your face, it gives me more of a spiritual feel with the mask, and with the black and white lighting. I think the pose looks great as well, with that pose I can actually feel the sadness come trough this photograph.
