Description Here's Kaital in all his 3D greatness. I couldn't figure out the vector shader to give him the 2 dimensional look. So he doesn't look nearly to what he's supposed to, but he's modeled, unwrapped, textured, has a bone structure, and skinned. I'll have to wait till next quarter before I can animate him.

Modeled and such in Maya 5, Texture made in Photoshop.

Hay guess what.
You're going to be in game design someday. Yes you are.

This looks better than professional models I've seen in games. Very appealing design - I like that you made his hindquarters smaller than the front, it's just so much cool, toony eyecandy.

Wow, this is really good. Certainly holds the WW style, especially with that face.

Too bad those weren't in the game.

well for the vector render i find that texture diffrences need to be command line rendered. i had a teacher show me and i have some notes on it somewhere. I'll see if i cant find those. Or you need to nurb the character out and surface trace the details in shapes but thats the newb way of doing it. I'll see if i can't find ya a tutorial or something ^^

That would be great if you could find those notes Yeah, my teacher said it couldn't do the cel-shade look and use the texture on it at the same time.

well there is a way to "vector-ize" your textures but i found that somewhere else on the web and be damned if i can find that because i have been looking for most of the day for the tutorial i was working from when i did it. I did find a Nonphotorealistic tutorial but it operates in much the same way as the vector which makes texturing very hard (the model they used had 0 file based textures in it what so ever) but its a very impressive render. if you'de like to try things out with that the link is Here

no luck so far on finding my notes, its been a coupple of months since i've fiddled with the vector renderer that i wouldnt know where to start on making a breif tutorial but back i go to look for those notes ^^

Thank you so much for the link Good luck on finding the notes. This guy really needs that shader to pull off the Wind Waker style I'm going for
